You smell like Catfish!

Well not really, unless you do, but I wouldn’t know that tidbit of info now would I? Actually, the title is in regard to the MTV series “Catfish” about on-line dating. Have you ever on-line dated? Or talked to anyone romantically via the Internet?

I remember, when chat rooms and what not were super popular and talking to people in a romantic manner was easy, cyber flirting was fun, but it never left the chat room or turned into an on-line relationship. I honestly believe that you can’t date someone who you have never met face-to-face. Say what you will, that you get to know the person for who they really are, but you don’t really. You can also say that they are so open an honest and then when  you meet them they are a different person that who you thought, you act shocked that they could lie to you like that.

Get over it!

There is no such thing as a long-term on-line relationship! It is impossible. If you have never met then you can’t say anything about who they really are as a person!

What are your thoughts on the matter?

  2. My wife and I met online… CL of all things! We emailed almost daily for three months before meeting, and have now been together for over seven years. And I agree that you can’t know someone from just online — it’s totally different to actually interact.

All opinions and questions welcome!
